Welcome to my learning blog for Digital Photographic Practice. This is my second module of the OCA BA (Hons) Photography degree course, which I hope to complete by 2020.
I live partly in London, partly in Cumbria, although mostly in London where I work in Canary Wharf.
My photography interests are numerous: landscape, street, travel, nature. I currently have no idea which direction, if any, I will eventually go in. My focus for DPP is to find a "personal voice". Although I think in my case, it might be several personal voices! At the moment I want to make:
- Landscape photos you can escape into
- Street photos that make people laugh
- Travel photos that highlight disappearing culture
- Nature photos that show fragility and vulnerability
I am currently working with a Nikon D5000 and various lenses, but I would really like to upgrade to a full-frame body soon. Thinking about the new Nikon DF :-)
I am a member of the London Independent Photography Group, attending the Central London and Crossing Lines satellite groups.
